Last Wednesday 8th August, HD Ferries donated the HD1 for a day to the Variety Club of Jersey to host an "Around the Island Party Cruise". One hundred and fifty disadvantaged Jersey children and their carers, as well as many of the HD Ferries staff (dressed up as Pirates), left St Helier for a 3 hour cruise around Jersey Island.
Onboard there was a band, face painting, balloon sculptures as well as free refreshments and a lot of noise! Below is the thank you letter received following the event:

Words cannot truly express our sincere thanks for your incredibly generous offer of the boat in order that Variety could entertain the children in such a truly lavish way.
The children without doubt probably had one of the best days of their lives thanks to you and your wonderful crew. And what a crew - it was really fantastic to seem them all join in the spirit of the occasion, dressed up and looking really superb.
The day was indeed memorable and I know that the publicity that we were able to achieve can only do your Company further much deserved praise. Thank you again and congratulations on having such a really devoted and caring team.
