Official figures for May show that HD1 is now the Channel Islands' favourite way to take a car to France. Statistics from the Port of St Malo for May 2008 confirm that HD1 carried over 4,000 cars - 100 more than any competing ship on the route. Commenting on the release of the latest figures, Chris Howe-Davies, CEO of HD Ferries said: "We are delighted that HD1 is now the number one way to take a car to France. This is a significant milestone in the growth of low cost ferry travel and shows that low fares enable more people to travel more often. In recent months we have refined our timetable to ensure that, in spite of the escalating cost of fuel, we can continue to offer low fares without fuel surcharges for our passenger and freight customers. We would like to thank our valued customers and staff for making HD1 the favourite way to travel to France."
