A critical part lost in transit has delayed the resumption of HD Ferries services between the Channel Islands and France by one day to Friday 21st March. The company has contacted all passengers affected to offer alternative arrangements. What has happened? An essential component sent from Sweden has been lost in transit by courier company TNT and the resulting delay will prevent the completion of essential maintenance for HD1 in time to resume services on 20th March as scheduled. Chris Howe-Davies, CEO of HD Ferries, has flown to Sweden to collect a replacement part in person and an aircraft provided by sister company HD Air has also been chartered to ferry other essential parts to prevent any further delays. Which services are affected? The following services on 20th March have been cancelled:

Customers due to travel on cancelled service are being offered the following options: 1. Travel on an alternative HD Ferries service from Friday 21st March plus a free ticket to travel on equivalent HD Ferries services later in 2008, subject to availability. 2. Obtain a full refund plus a free ticket to travel on equivalent HD Ferries services later in 2008, subject to availability. 3. Individual arrangements will be made for customers who must travel on the 20/3/2008. When will services now begin? Services will commence Friday 21st March at 0715 from Jersey to St Malo.
